For most of the unit I used a computer and with this I used various research methods in order to give me a heads up for the project. I used google to research audience profile and the band that I chose my track from. This allowed me to see the interests of the target audience and see whether or not they would like my ideas. I also gathered feedback from focus ground about my chosen choice of track and some of the rouch ideas that I had. I then had to start researching similar bands to mine that would allow me to gain insperation. I used the website YouTube to allow me to search quickly and easily. In the side bar I was able to see suggestions of similar bands which made it much quicker. I then also used the file transferring site Zamzar to convert my chosen track which allowed me to get the track I needed downloaded to the format I needed quickly and safely.

I then had to gain feedback; for this I used various methods. For copyright reasons I needed to email the artist from the band of my chosen track. For this I used a webpage called Facebook a popular social networking site and I then started drawing up ideas. To do this I used photoshop which allowed me to put pictures in and present things bettter. I then uploaded this to Slideshare so I could upload it to my blog. I showed the slides to my class and then obtained feedback from my fellow class mates to allow me to get comments to start with the construction of the products. I used Facebook to also gain feedback from my target audience.
I then did a deconstruction of an existing music video which allowed me to compare it to Goodwins theory and also see what the conventions of a music video are. this made it much easier for me to come up with more ideas for example camera shots and angles. Microsoft Word allowed me to create a script to read from so that I could use media to its full advantage. I used a projector to display the music video by 'Katy Perry-Thinking of you' to allow the audience to see what I was talking about, I then recorded myself using a digital camera. I then uploaded this to my blog. This gave me so much ground of ideas for my own music video.

When it came to producing both the ancillery tasks and the video I used a flip camera and a digital camer in order to get footage and pictures. The Flip allowed me to take different shots quickly and easily. Once I had all of my needed clips I converted them into a differnt format to allow me to eidt. I then used a digital camera which allowed me to take pictures for the different ancillary tasks. I took the pictures in various angles which allowed for straight editing. The tripod also helped for the smooth pictures. I used equipment such as a tripod also to gte straight pictures and also a card reader to transfer the pictures onto my computer.
I used a variety of programs to allow me to edit my products to a high enough quality. I used Premire Elements 10 to edit my video. For my mock up I used movie maker and then created a final video on Premire Elements. In premire elements I edited the video to allow for effects and transitions between each clip I took. I had to make sure there was lip sinking and that the movements worked with the soundtrack. I used Photoshop 7 to create my ancillary tasks, this alllowed me to also edit the pictures that I took. I was able to create proffesional looking products because of the programs.

I used these programs to present and create an evaluation for my work.I used Blogger to present my work in a suitable way to allow me to get constructive feedback and show how I have developed my work from start to finish. I then used Prezi, Scribd and SlideShare for my evaluation task which allowed me to use a range of different media sorces. I have learnt alot from these programas and they have allowed me to see the different techniques that I can use to present my work and also improve on what I complete.

All of the programas that I have used allowed me to be one step ahead. when researching and planing the internet allowed me to see what was already out there. This was good because I could make sure I was appealing to the right target market. I then used equipment which allowed me to take pictures and record the appropriate clips. This was good as I could vary the angle, keep a straight image, keep focus, use easily, edit straight away, and zoom in when needed. Equipment like the projector allowed me to explore different uses f technology and create a deconstruction in a unique way. Programs for editing being Photoshop 7 and premire elements allowed me to edit my work inot a clean and proffesional way. I have learnt knew ways in which of editing which will allow me to use in other subject areas.

What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Gaining feedback has been an important element throughout the production of my products. Audience feedback proves very useful and will often notice small details which are actually mistakes and this allowed me to then act upon this and rectify the problem, possibly re-shooting or taking pictures again in order to please the audience. The Feedback I received allowed me to see whether or not the audience understood my music video and whether all of the products linked showing clear cohesion as well as meeting genre conventions. From the feedback I was then able to act upon what I was told and make the product better and better each time.
In creating each document I made sure I got continues feedback. For example with my Digi Pack I made a first draft, printed this and then asked for feedback. I did this process right up until I felt that the product was the best it could be, for example some of the pictures looked stretched and a few little things like a sticker type graphic just to give it the professional edge. I then did the same process for my Magazine advert. I got two end versions however from feedback I was able to choose which advert the target audience preferred. For all of the products the first feedback came from a focus group that looked at my design ideas and my rough thoughts. For my video I took a slightly different approach I started by creating a rough cut onto Windows Movie Maker which gave me a rough idea of the order I wanted each clip. From this I showed my class the video which I noted down their feedback; then I started making a video on premier elements. As this started to form my final video I included effects and transitions, with these developments I got more structured feedback to allow for a final video. These constructive comments allowed me to see what and where I was going wrong. This allowed me to have a professional looking finished video.

For all of my products I made sure there was constant feedback. I asked a variety of people and took away from that important feedback to act upon. I would hold focus groups and bullet point the differernt points that were made; good or bad. I would have different view on my own work as oppose to the target audience which helped me as I was able to see other peoples opinions. The research showed me that even though I didnt exactly like my music video the variation of shots and th angles I have used appealed to the target market. The target market liked how I had looked at existing videos and then did my own interpritation of a performance based video. Comments allowed me to see that I could improve on my split screen by repeating it and also include high angled shots in my video. I did not think of this so the feedback allowed me to add more and imporve my video. I uploaded my first edit of my music video onto YouTube which allowed me to gain feedback from a range of people and from people outside of the collage. This allowed me to act upon little things I hadn't noticed and make my final video better that I expected it to be. For my ancillary tasks I held focus groups and printed my work out to allow the audience to see and comment on, this allowed me to get a detailed response. I did this from start; the designing and rough ideas to the final; computer designed product.

After this I got feedback for my evaluation. The feedback allowed me to see that "You have been original and used a range of new and exciting programs to present your evaluation." I have completed a good detailed evaluation with key elements that needed to be included. I have included all the needed answers for the questions and more. Th efeedback I got was excellent and I just had to make sure that pictures were annotated and that links were included in ordeder for it to be a excellent evaluation.
Overall my audience feedback has helped me more than I first thought in both analysing my product and my performance in the project. It has meant that I can recieve and take on board comments and be able to improve on my work to make it of a better quality. It showed me my strengths and weaknesses and this I will be able to learn from in future projects and other subjects.

My Products......

Over all I have produced a strong Magazine advert. The advert has the strong colours against the black background. This represents the black on a heart monitor against the colours of the heart rate. The graphic I have used and the colours work well as it shows what I have done and it is clearly understood by the audience as thye get understanding. The writing is stricking and typical of the genre. I have made the colours red and green including white to make the review stand out. The text style is strong and in capitals making it strong for the eye. The response I got fro the advert was strong and positive, it gave me confidence that I ahd planned and researched well to ensure that my advert worked well with typical genre conventions. The record lable is typical of the genre and not well-known like the band. The layout is strong and easy to read and follow much like my genre. I have used no images in my product and this works as with a picture it could become confusing, by just using text on the dark background I got straight to the point. The graphic of 'Best Girl' works well as the pulse rate runs through. I thought about this and designed again and again until I had the final product that I was happy with.
Overall I also produced a good quality Magazine advert. Again feedback allowed me to see that my work was strong and this with the magazine advert worked well. I used the same graphic, colours, font, and style that I used on my magazine advert. This shows clear continuinity of my products. Again I made the 'Best Girl' graphic the main focus of the product. I again included a review but this time in a sticker format much like what you would expect to see. I included another pulse rate graphic this time in green and with no text however, this is in line with the bands name on the front of my Digi Pack. This works well and its as if the band came from the end of it. I used the same black background again to create the same effect and then the track names I made red however smaller than the other text however this works as nothing is more important and has more presnece as such. I met conventions of my Digi Pack by including all the relevent information; barcode, record lable, website. On the inside of the Digi Pack I used pictures of the band to allow for the people to see what the band is like with their personalities; this is often seen in CD covers. The pictures I edited light and amde the shots relaxed by my use of different angles and sizes. Each image is differnt and allows people to see that the band are fun typical of the genre. The shots dont look fixed and work well with the whole effect of my Ancillary tasks.

Finally I have also created a music video with strong and bold points. The use of the lightning bolt finished off my video, without this half the effects I wanted to create would not have been possible. My music video was important to give across the message and the feeling of the female being strong and better off on her own. To make sure this effect was created I used camera angles; close up shots showing her strength in her facial expression almost like she’s happier. By my female being centre stage and in front of the boys I was able to create that sense of her being better. I used transitions to create different effects. I used the pan tool on a particular shot to allow me to carry the amount of shot angles and effects which I found was an important convention of music videos. I started and ended my music video with a black and white effect almost like showing the start and end of a story. This allowed for my audience to understand the video more so. I then used fade transitions in-between the videos that I took to allow for a smooth change between and then made for a quicker fade depending upon the pace of the music. When there was a change in the music and there was an instrumental I included a split screen which made my effect so much more. When recording I used props such as the instruments, the guitars, the drums, the microphone all allowed for my video to become more realistic. I then included the black back drop which allowed me to add the effect with the lights. The lights were good as they went in time with the music and worked well in linking all three of my products with the black against the colour.
